POSITION DESCRIPTION 

Data Entry / Office Clerk 

BASIC FUNCTION

Under supervision and following established procedures performs clerical tasks related to the personnel function. Typical tasks would include preparing, recording, filing and saving information about employee addresses and other personal information, establish new users in software programs, training paperwork, reports of employment tracking, etc., and furnishing information from such files to authorized persons on request. May maintain records of employment activity and assist in administration of employment tests. May compile routine reports of absences, vacations, employment activity, etc. May enter data into a PC using a software package to perform this function.  Entry level compensation based on experience.

Duties include but are not limited to;

Data Entry of payroll informaton into payroll program

Update and maintain payroll spreadsheet & payroll check logs

Heavy phone volume calling drivers daily on missing new hire paperwork and payroll

Maintain and update open position spreadsheet

Post available positions on various job websites

Assist with employee recruitment and hire

Mail, fax or e-mail new employee paperwork to new hires

Assist new hires with welcome webinar

Scan and file new employee paperwork

Track on Excel spreadsheet new hires and terminations

Track and log employee equipment

Prep equipment to be mailed
